To make baking soda more effective, mix three parts water to 1 part baking soda, and it can wipe away the dirt – it’s a great solution that can remove crayon or any dirt mark from walls. Baking soda is an effective cleaning solution that can bring back the shine to many metal items, from silverware to gold shields and brass. To clean gold, mix three parts baking soda with 1 part of water to create a thick paste. Apply the paste to a gold item, place in a cup or container, and cover with distilled white vinegar.
