Hollister is a quaint but ambitious up and coming little town. With several new businesses on their way, Hollister is quickly expanding and becoming a desired place to live. The recent construction and continued growth of
Branson
are bringing a new rejuvenation to downtown Hollister. Many of the older mom and pop stores are being renovated and reopened as new businesses. Some of the new businesses in Hollister include a carwash, a health center, a home improvement chain, and Hollister’s first major hotel.
Hollister also has started to hold more city wide events such as free movie night in the park. Bring your lawn chair or blanket for a traditional movie on the lawn. See the Hollister’s city website for the next movie to be played as well as date and location. Hollister also has annual festivals such as the Hollister Grape Festival. The Grape & Fall Festival aspires to promote local businesses, crafters, and performers as well as provide entertainment for all of the residents and tourists. This festival is held in downtown Hollister on historic Downing Street. The town also features a historic train depot where several local events still take place. Check the
City of Hollister
website for an updated list of events.
