The school district of Reeds Spring has over 1,900 students that attend the 5 main schools for kindergarten through 12th grade as well as an early education center and the Gibson Technical School. It is the desire of the staff at Reeds Spring for all students to reach their full potential and contribute responsibly in society. The teachers at Reeds Spring continue to challenge and teach the students using the very best teaching strategies. As a district, they continue to set the bar high to ensure that the students are ready for the 21st century by using research-based cutting edge instructional programs and technology embedded learning.

The early education center houses children ages birth through five years old, until they go to kindergarten. This school believes in providing a fun, safe, stimulating, nurturing, and developmentally age-appropriate environment for all children. Children will grow by meeting their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical needs through planned and self-selective activities each day. The early education center believes that children learn through real-life experience and modeling of proper behaviors. Infants and toddlers plan and assess each child by using a creative curriculum. Teachers of the three and four year olds use hands on learning to teach the children in their classrooms.


Once toddlers have reached the age where they can attend kindergarten they will move on to Reeds Spring Primary School. This school instructs kindergarten and 1st grade students. The primary school is devoted to social, emotional, and academic development of each student. All students also receive weekly lessons in art, library, music, physical education, and technology. The staff at Reeds Spring Primary is driven to meet the needs of every child that attends their school.

Children then move up to Reeds Spring Elementary School which accommodates children in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. This elementary school believes that the formula to prepare students for becoming responsible citizens is academic success and positive behavior. Student work is on display in the classrooms and hallways to exhibit the creative opportunities that teachers provide to the students. Reeds Spring Elementary School implements effective teaching strategies, collaboration, and establishment of high expectations. Goals are achieved in this school by the partnership between school and home.


Reeds Spring Intermediate School is dedicated to being a place where students in 5th and 6th grade believe, achieve, and succeed! The intermediate school strives to meet the needs of students by acknowledging that every student learns in a different time frame and by different learning styles. This school aspires to give each child a safe and secure learning environment where they will develop skills to be productive school citizens.

After that, children move on to 7th and 8th grade at Reeds Spring Middle School. The middle school strives to create an environment where excellence is modeled and expected of all students. The goal of Reeds Spring Middle School is for each student to be a critical thinking global citizen who communicates and collaborates effectively. The mission of this school is to build relationships with the students and engage them in learning opportunities that will prepare them to achieve their unique potential.


Students then graduate on to Reeds Spring High School which wraps up their public school education with 9th through 12th grade. The high school is eager to create and maintain a school that educates all students by building on the strengths of the scholar, staff, and parents. They strive to provide intellectual, physical, social and career development in a safe educational environment. The high school encourages students to involve themselves in various club activities as well as challenge themselves academically.


While students are attending Reeds Spring High School, they can also elect to participate in courses at the Gibson Technical Center. Gibson Tech intends to prepare today’s students for tomorrow through quality career and technical education. This school provides technical programs to meet the needs of high school students by teaching entry-level skills as well as giving a head start into today’s business and industry workforce. They also offer courses for adults and people with special needs that are designed to help update the community in various fields of training.
