Coming home to a spic and span apartment after a busy work schedule in the office is everyone’s dream. From fresh curtains to crisp white bedsheets, a refreshingly clean home will make you think clearly to unwind and relax in peace, without having to worry about anything. To keep your apartment spic and span, check out these easy tips and tricks, which can help make your apartment refreshingly clean.

Laundry hacks

No matter how organized your apartment is, there is always one thing that can easily make it look cluttered, such as a pile of dirty clothes. To make sure your clothes do not look like garbage in your home, invest in a decorative laundry basket that serves the dual purpose of accumulating your dirty clothes and adding style to the interior of your bedroom. It is also wise to do your laundry regularly so you can avoid the clutter. It is safe to say that the habit of regularly doing laundry will get you halfway through your daily struggle to keep your home looking spic and span.

Organize your closet

As most tenants know about living in a small space, there should always be a place for everything, and everything should have a place. One space in your home that needs to be organized well, is your closet. Even if you keep your home to be well organized, a messy closet can make your room untidy in no time.

When you search for just one garment of clothing, it will not only mess up your entire shelf but also take up a lot of time and effort - both of which are entirely not worth it. Make sure you organize your closet well and keep it that way to create a clean and tidy room. Just an hour spent every weekend to clean up the clutter created through the week, will help you never see your room dirty again.

Do the job then and there

Procrastination is every apartment dweller’s worst enemy when it comes to keeping your home spic and span. Instead of daydreaming on a couch, look for some spot that needs to be cleaned. For example, spending an extra ten minutes cleaning the dishes after dinner is much easier than going back to the kitchen before bedtime to clean it up.

Make a habit of clearing your desk once you finish your work. Clearing up the weeds on your balcony after your evening cup of coffee, or cleaning the bathroom after a shower can go a long way in keeping your home clean, with better home time and waste management.

Storage is key

Organizing storage containers at home is one of the best hacks ever. Create a small and dainty storage box where you can keep your jewelry and other valuables and place them in a cabinet that can accommodate suitcases and trunks.

If you have yet to buy your furniture, purchase tables and shelves with built-in drawers to store some of your essential things. You can also purchase trendy wicker baskets that are available in different colors and textures to help you with storage and that will compliment your interiors. When you store your valuables in a proper place, it will help you keep track of where your things are and maintain the tidiness of your home at all times.

De-clutter daily

When you see a lot of clutter in your apartment, it can bring down all your efforts in trying to make your home clean and tidy. Aside from your pile of personal belongings, there are other nooks and corners of your home that can be easily de-cluttered daily. Start with the refrigerator, something that every home has. Take out the expired food every time you start cooking. If you have time, you can also wipe the inner shelves of the refrigerator while cleaning the dining area or the kitchen.
The same thing can be done with the other pieces of furniture, that can be de-cluttered daily, including your shoe rack and kitchen cabinets. These are shelves that are used daily, that are often easy to overlook to clean.

If you want to keep your apartment spic and span every time you come home after a busy day at work, you need to try these easy tips and tricks.
