Forsyth School District’s primary mission is to provide an equal opportunity for quality instruction and a secure learning atmosphere that enhances a positive attitude with special emphasis on learning, self-respect, and responsibility for one’s actions. The Forsyth R-III School District is located in Forsyth, MO and includes 3 schools that serve over 1,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade.

Forsyth Elementary school educates students from kindergarten through 4th grade. The elementary school serves over 440 students in these grades and has an overall student-to-teacher ratio of 15 students to 1 teacher. The entire Forsyth district believes in equipping students for the next stage of their life.

The Forsyth Middle School houses 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. The middle school is designed for students who are changing from childhood to adolescence. The vision of the Forsyth Middle School is to provide a safe environment where the school and staff can create educational opportunities to encourage students to be self-motivated, life-long learners, and productive members of society.

Once students have completed the 8th grade, they will move on to High School. Forsyth High School cultivates grades 9 through 12. This specific school has over 340 students, making the student to teacher ratio around 13 students per teacher. Forsyth High School strives to produce responsible, conscientious citizens that make a positive impact on their families and society.


The Forsyth School District believes that educating a child is a joint responsibility of the school, the parent and the community.
